You should never let life’s routines allow you to forget or take for granted the love you have from a girl friend, a spouse, a child, a parent or anyone significant in your life. Time moves fast and before you know it so many tomorrows have past and if time takes someone from you, for any reason, you’ve lost that chance to show them how you feel from them. If you are married or have a significant other take some time to show them each day you are thinking of them and that you care, sometimes just a flirting smile will do it or a unannounced phone call to say “Honey, I was thinking of you.” For your kids tell them without fail each day you love them, give them a hug even if there teens and they run from you, try because the point is to show you care.
Emerald I missed you, I’m glad your home and you are safe honey.
A new day has dawned in the Philippines and they have a new President. I’m glad Erap is gone I could say “I told you so” but I wont because rather than hash out the past its time to move forward. Although some of my friends will disagree I truly feel that President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is the right person to hold the office of President of the Philippines, she has in her career shown her dedication and love for the Philippines and the Filipino people through her actions, policies, and words. She has always done things for the better meant of our people and country. I believe her to be tough enough to stand up to other government officials and nations, you don’t get to where she is by being passive.
Why her? Because she was the vice president. Even here in America when Nixon was impeached [okay fine resigned] the vice president took over. The difference of course is that in the Philippines, the Vice President is elected standing on there own and not riding on the skirt tails of the President elect like here in the U.S. So she is the will of the people and was voted in to run the country if need be. You can’t compare her to Cory. Cory who tried, ran on the will of the people and was measured by her husband’s standards not those of her own. And as for sticking her fingers in the pot of corruption, I don’t think so, she may have special interest money in hand but certainly not money from gambling and corruption. But the Philippines must give her a chance, the problems in the Philippines will not be fixed over night, not even in President Arroyo’s term. President Arroyo, is the starting point for change and reform. Change will be hard, I have no doubts she will be hated and ridiculed by both government officials and the people, change can be difficult and hard and even unwanted even when its known that in the long run it will be better. People need someone to blame and that blame will be put on her shoulders regardless if it belongs to her or not. I hope the people will be strong and embrace change for a better tomorrow.
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, congratulations and may GOD guide your hand.
